About Our Youth

Our Youth Ministry is on Wednesday Nights for children ages 3-12 years old and for teens ages 13-19 years old.  We have a large group of wonderful children and teens.

We presently have six different classes for the children/teens:

·       3-4 Year Old Class

·       5-6 Year Old  Class

·       7-8 Year Old Class

·       9-10 Year Old Class

·       11-12 Year Old Class

·       Teens Class

Our Teens normally come in and eat first and then go to their classroom for their lesson, games, etc.  Children 12 years old and under begin service with songs and prayer.  Then the children are sent to their classes for a lesson, crafts, and/or games.

One of the favorite things the children/teens enjoy is eating time.  We try to serve them some kind of light meal in case they have come to church hungry.  In the past we have served such items as spaghetti, pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, soup & grilled cheese sandwiches, nachos & cheese, etc.  We have also served ice cream Sundays and banana splits.

We normally have an Easter Egg Hunt in the spring, a 4th of July Parade in the summer, a Carnival or Inflatables in the fall, and a Christmas Parade in the winter.  We sometimes have additional outings for the children as a reward for their attendance and behavior.  Last year we took the teens to Kings Island and the children to Camden Park.

Our children can also attend our Christian Baptist Association’s Youth Camp (ages 9-12 and 13-19) in Minford, Ohio during the summer for a week.

Our goal in this ministry is to lead the children/teens to Christ and see them grow in their relationship with Him.  We have seen children saved and even baptized on Wednesday nights.  We hope that each child/teen will accept Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.  One day we want to see these children/teens preaching, teaching and singing about Christ’s love and forgiveness.  God has a plan for their lives and we want to see that plan fulfilled for each one of them.

Why don’t you come and join our youth ministry this coming Wednesday night?
